A friend once looked out of a car window in the city on an overcast winter day and said, “isn’t that so pretty.”  I looked at the gray and brown view which seemed so ordinary and bleak. I took a breath and looked again.  I could tell I was tired of winter cold and overcast.  But, yes, it was beautiful.  This stayed with me.  I sometimes ask myself to see the beauty of hundreds of shades of gray and brown and white.  Have you ever tried to look at something in nature with new eyes?
